Chai Lattes are one of my favorite types of lattes. It has such robust flavors combining all of the masala based spices, and then adding in the hot milk. It is practically a hug in a mug.

The process of making a chai latte takes a bit more effort, but it's so worth it! First, we'll steep chai spices (or tea bags) with water. Then, the chai is strained, and added to a new cup with hot milk. The most vital ingredient in this chai latte is Toasted Coconut Milk. It gives a beautiful woody taste, with the slight vanilla undertone (because it's toasted). Enjoy 🤎
Toasted Coconut & Honey Chai Latte
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
2 chai tea bags
1 cup water
1 cup toasted coconut milk (Califa Farms)
1 tsp honey
Spices - optional
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground cardamom
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp all spice
1 star anise
Directions
In a small pot, add water and bring to a boil. Then, add tea bags with spices and steep for 5-7 minutes. After steeping, remove tea bags, & strain into a separate pot.
While tea is steeping, add coconut milk and honey to a frother or frother attachment and froth the milk till doubled in size.
Over two cups, divide the chai evenly, and top off with the frothed milk.
Notes
- Feel free to just steep the tea without the seasoning and add the milk after. I added the spices to get more of a masala taste.
